This rule does not apply to all of you, but it does affect those who are taking or plan on taking time between high school graduation and college to play his or her sport. If you are 21 years old or more and engage in any participation as an individual or a team representative in organized sports competition during each 12-month period prior to initial full-time enrollment in a college or university, you will be penalized with one year of varsity competition in that sport.
